Signed papers.  Announced to colleagues. It’s official guys, I’m moving to Charlotte, NC. The move made a lot of sense professionally but personally I’m still conflicted considering I’m leaving behind my friends who I consider to be my Nashville family.
I’m on my way there for a few days on a home finding trip and to meet my new team and get a feel for the city.
Sitting at the terminal, I was just thinking that so far it’s been a crazy ride. 9 years ago, I was just a Pakistani guy almost done with college not even thinking of moving anywhere and then life took a sudden turn and I ended up in the USA. I’ve moved from Iowa to Tennessee and now to north Carolina starting from just being a college student, a project engineer, purchasing agent and now moving up to a management role. Just makes me realize that sometimes life doesn’t go according to plan but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.  The amount of personal and professional growth I’ve had ever since I moved here, I can’t even begin to put into words. I guess it just reaffirms my belief in taking risks and following your gut. Let’s see what Charlotte has in store for me and what Shenanigans I can get myself into.
