Before moving to Nashville, I was trying to see if i could find some interesting places take some photos. Since i’ve always had a fascination with run down/abandoned places, I came across the Neuhoff Meat Packaging plant that has been abandoned for a while. However, I found out that there is a very cool boot studio, Peter Nappi, located in the repurposed abbatior. The studio is something that needs to be experienced.
The story of the stores owner, Phillip Nappi, is as amazing as the boots and the studio itself. From the website:
“This new business began as a simple idea to make old-world style boots, hand-crafted in Italy. Soon, it became a passion, a passion that grew within us but also seemed to be led from beyond ourselves. Then we made a discovery that compelled us to move forward and confirmed our fate. With limited knowledge of his father’s family, Phillip discovered that Peter Nappi, the grandfather he’d never met, had been a shoemaker. It was as if his legacy wanted to be revived. At that point we knew we had been given an opportunity. ”
If you get the chance to be in Nashville, do try to make a trip to the store. More information on their website here.

Awwwwre You Kidding Me With This of the Day: For her church’s annual “Trunk or Treat,” photographer Stephanie Read of Auburn Soul Photography dressed her tiny son Rizden as Carl Fredricksen from Up.
Pressed for time and with the festivities about to begin, Read says “his is all I could manage with my limited light, time, and hands.”
That costume is so adorable that I don’t even mind that obvious humblebrag.
[mmm.]
This is amazing. Totally love it.](http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lub00oWP7P1qzpwi0o1_400.jpg)
